Taft Avenue Lift Station Sewer Facility

General: 1. This contract shall provide for the rehabilitation of Taft Avenue Lift Station for the City of Groves, Texas. The lift station is located at the west corner of Taft Avenue and 25th Street in Groves. 2. This contract shall include all necessary superintendence, labor, equipment, tools, materials, painting, safety measures, environmental protection, disposal of surplus items, site restoration, and all other related construction for the proposed lift station. Work to be Accomplished: Contractor shall coordinate with City Personnel prior to commencing work. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with the guidelines and procedures set forth within the Contract Specifications. This contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Demolish the existing Old Wet Well. Furnish all labor, material, and equipment to demolish and abandon the existing old wet well, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. 2. Demolish and dispose of the existing Control Box and prepare location for installation of new control box, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. 3. Abandon in place approximately 29 linear feet of 18” to 48” sanitary sewer lines by plugging and filling with flowable grout, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. 4. Remove and Replace 48” Fiberglass Sanitary Sewer Manhole complete in place, including all labor, material, equipment, excavation, cement stabilized sand backfill, compaction, surface restoration, C.I. Ring and cover, water-tight connection of existing and proposed sanitary sewer lines, and testing, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. 5. Furnish and Install one (1) 84” Fiberglass Sanitary Sewer Manhole complete in place, including all labor, material, equipment, excavation, cement stabilized sand backfill, compaction, surface restoration, C.I. Ring and cover, water-tight connection of existing and proposed sanitary sewer lines, and testing, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. 6. Furnish and Install three (3) 60” Fiberglass Sanitary Sewer Manholes complete in place, including all labor, material, equipment, excavation, cement stabilized sand backfill, compaction, surface restoration, C.I. Ring and cover, water-tight connection of existing and proposed sanitary sewer lines, and testing, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. 7. Furnish and Install approximately 90 linear feet of 24” PVC SDR-26 Gravity Sanitary Sewer Line (All Depths) complete in place including all labor, material, equipment, embedment, backfill, compaction, surface restoration, fittings, watertight connection of existing and proposed sanitary sewer lines, and testing, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. 8. Construct a new Control Box complete in place including all labor, material, equipment, top and bottom RC slabs, appurtenances, connections to all incoming and outgoing pipes, manhole ring and cover, excavation, and backfill, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. 9. Contractor shall install a new 50cfm air scrubber system including all associated piping, connections to the flow control box, concrete slab and connections to the electrical lighting panel, all in accordance with the plans and specifications, 10. Rehabilitate the existing Junction Box complete in place including all labor, materials, and equipment to demolish existing slab and walls, remove existing appurtenances, install new slab and walls, ring cover, vent, and associated appurtenances, pressure wash and rehabilitate concrete surface, apply polyamide epoxy liner to all interior surface, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. C. ADDITIVES 1. Remove and Replace one (1) 48” Fiberglass Sanitary Sewer Manhole complete in place, including all labor, material, equipment, excavation, cement stabilized sand backfill, compaction, surface restoration, C.I. Ring and cover, water-tight connection of existing and proposed sanitary sewer lines, and testing, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. 2. Provide surface preparation and coating of the existing Jib Crane complete in place in accordance with plans and specifications. D. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS 1. The Contractor shall coordinate with Mr. Michael Tentrup prior to commencing work at the project site. Mr. Tentrup can be reached at (409) 960-5704. 2. The Contractor shall return the work site to its original condition or better prior to acceptance of the Owner. 3. City of Groves will provide electrical and water services to Contractor at no cost for this project. Contractor to make application for services for the purpose of metering. 4. The Contractor is made aware that there is a city playground adjacent to the site. The Contractor shall pay close attention while moving vehicles and equipment in the area.
