EOU Head Start HVAC Upgrades

EOU Head Start is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the installaOon of or improvements to exisOng HVAC systems at our classroom faciliOes located across Union County and Baker City in Baker County to improve efficiency, performance, and air quality. Scope of Work: The scope of work for this project includes the following: Design and installaOon of a new HVAC system where necessary Removal and disposal of exisOng HVAC equipment that is outdated. Ductwork modificaOons and improvements where necessary InstallaOon of new thermostats and controls where necessary Start-up, commissioning, and tesOng of the new system Training for EOU Head Start staff on operaOng and maintaining new systems. Warranty and ongoing maintenance services HVAC systems will include air scrubbers or other air quality improvement equipment. General Proposal Requirements: Interested vendors are requested to provide a detailed proposal that includes the following informaOon: Company name, CCB#, and proof of insurance must include $1,000,000 general liability and $500,000 automobile coverage. Proposed system design, including equipment specificaOons and energy efficiency raOngs. InstallaOon Omeline and project schedule Cost esOmate, including all labor, materials, permits, and equipment. Warranty and maintenance service offerings LocaOon Specific Requirements: La Grande Head Start, 810 14 th Replace two bard units, one gas furnace and elevate three heat pumps. Install seven air scrubbers. La Grande Odyssey 402 K Ave La Grande, OR 97850 Replace four electric Bard Units, electric heat pumps, and one gas Bard unit, and install five air scrubbers Union Head Start, 426 College Air scrubbers only for one exisOng system Elgin Head Start, 180 10th Replace two Bard units and install two air scrubbers Baker Head Start, 1927 16th Replace three air handlers and heat pumps. Upgrade to 410A. Replace bath fan covers, vents and thermostats. Install three air scrubbers. Baker City Relief Nursery, 1925 16th Install mulO-zone outdoor unit, three indoor heads. Install three air scrubbers. The vendor will need to subcontract an electrician for this installaOon to set the outdoor unit on a pad, line sets to run up the wall, and cover it with line hide. Project Budget: This project is grant-funded by the Oregon Department of Human Services. The approved project budget is $194,092.00 and the total cost of the project cannot exceed this budget.
