Description | Project was awarded to BK Paving LLC in the amount of $498,192.95. The City of Castroville, Texas (Owner) is requesting bids for the construction of improvements to include the supply of all materials, labor, and equipment for the following Project: 2022 Street Bond County Village Subdivision The Engineers estimate is $500,000 The work includes mill and overlay of the existing roadways within the County Village Subdivision. The project will include limited trench and pavement repair sections throughout. Any technical questions can be directed to Mr. Joel Valdez, P.E. at K Friese & Associates, Inc. jvaldez@kfriese.com In determining the award of this contract, the governmental entity may consider the following under Govt Code Sec. 2269.055: (1) the price; (2) the offeror's experience and reputation; (3) the quality of the offeror's goods or services; (4) the impact on the ability of the governmental entity to comply with rules relating to historically underutilized businesses; (5) the offeror's safety record; (6) the offeror's proposed personnel; (7) whether the offeror's financial capability is appropriate to the size and scope of the project; and (8) any other relevant factor specifically listed in the request for bids, proposals, or qualifications including past performance on projects with this Owner or others in the area. In determining the award of a contract under this chapter, the governmental entity shall: (1) consider and apply any existing laws, including any criteria, related to historically underutilized businesses; and (2) consider and apply any existing laws, rules, or applicable municipal charters, including laws applicable to local governments, related to the use of women, minority, small, or disadvantaged businesses. Bids will be evaluated by the City based on the qualifications and experience of the Bidder, as well as the price offered. The City reserves the right to accept the proposal that best suits its needs whether or not the price is lowest, and also reserves the right to reject all bids or waive informalities. |
