Boiler Replacement

1) Remove two existing low-pressure steam boilers and associated steam components and replace them with two new high-efficiency hot water boilers and all required hydronic accessories. 2) Remove remaining steam and condensate piping distribution system and install new hydronic piping distribution system and required accessories to serve the HVAC equipment that was previously served by the steam system. 3) Modify seven (7) existing air handling units to replace the existing steam heating coils with new hot water coils. 4) Remove five (5) existing steam propeller unit heaters and replace them with seven (7) new hot water unit heaters. 5) Modify the existing building automation system (BAS) as required to accommodate new boilers, AHU modifications and new terminal heating equipment. 6) Remove three (3) existing shop wash fountains and replace them with new wash fountains. 7) Under and alternate bid, remove the existing fuel oil storage tank and provide necessary restoration and paving repairs. 8) Under and alternate bid, provide additional modifications to six (6) air handling units and BAS controls to reposition heating and cooling coils to allow implementation of a dehumidification sequence.
