Description

Milling and pavement along within the area identified as the ‘Superintendent’s Parking Lot’ as shown on the bid drawings. 1-1/2”milling shall occur along the perimeter of the existing curbing and in near existing inlet grates or other structures for a width of 3’. The entire area will be overlaid with 1-1/2” of 9.5 mm bituminous wearing course which includes ½” of scratch course. It is estimated that the 425 tons of wearing course will be required. In addition, the contractor shall prepare the bid as to assume that 10% of the total surface area will require base repair. All line striping shall be required by the contractor and one inlet grate/top will need to be replaced. Alternate Bid #1 will be milling and pavement along within the area identified as the ‘Rear Parking Lot’ as shown on the bid drawings. 1-1/2”milling shall occur along the perimeter of the existing curbing and in near existing inlet grates or other structures for a width of 3’. The entire area will be overlaid with 1-1/2” of 9.5 mm bituminous wearing course which includes ½” of scratch course. It is estimated that the 230 tons of wearing course will be required. In addition, the contractor shall prepare the bid as to assume that 10% of the total surface area will require base repair. All line striping shall be required by the contractor and two inlet grates/tops will need to be replaced Alternate Bid #2 will consist of replacement of 8,000 s.f.+/- of concrete sidewalk along the front of the High School and also a 600 s.f. concrete apron slab in the southeast corner of the High School near an existing loading area. This includes an ADA ramp near the northeast corner of the High School and does not include three recently constructed ADA ramps. Alternate Bid #2 shall include two coats of WR Meadown LIN-SEAL penetrating and antispalling compound or equal as approved by the District. Alternate Bid #3 will consist of replacement of 3,000 s.f. of concrete sidewalk along the eastern side of the High School. Alternate Bid #3 shall include two coats of WR Meadown LINSEAL penetrating and anti-spalling compound or equal as approved by the District.
