Description | A large accounting firm has found a location for its new Louisville offices. Harding, Shymanski and Co. will be taking up an entire floor in PNC Tower. The Evansville, Indiana-based firm's lease spans 17,000 square feet on the 17th floor in the tower at 101 S. Fifth St.John Rittichier, vice president for Harding Shymanski, said in an interview the company wanted to remain Downtown. Its offices are currently located in approximately 8,500 square feet in the Madrid Building at 545 S. Third St. "We are excited to call PNC Tower our new home. The ability to create an attractive work environment in a location central to where our team members and clients are located was a key factor in our decision," Rittichier said in a news release. "The PNC Tower checked all the boxes with its central location, amenities, and proximity to all of the great things Downtown has to offer. Harding Shymanski is proud to continue to be a part of the Downtown community." Harding Shymanski was attracted to PNC Tower because of its internal amenities and surrounding businesses, Rittichier said. With the new Heine Brothers in its lobby, as well as shared conference spaces and more inside, he said it was the right fit. The firm intends to be moved in by November. Rittichier said the space is a blank canvas, so they are completing a total renovation. He declined to disclose the total investment into the project. Reese Design Collaboratives, which offers architectural and interior design services, is working on the project.Earlier this year, the accounting firm was approved for a $300,000 tax incentive through the Kentucky Business Investment program from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority for a new Louisville office. The KEDFA filing shows the total investment into the expansion will be about $3 million. "This is a true testament to the advantages a dynamic workplace can offer employees--walkable amenities and conveniences, central location with easy access points and modern Class A space. They all contribute to a positive work experience. We look forward to their tenancy in a reenergized environment." The firm employs approximately 35 people in the Louisville market, with over 180 employees companywide. Harding Shymanski sits at No. 13 on Louisville Business First's Largest Accounting Firms list. Rittichier said as the firm continues to grow, it was running out of space in its former building. The new, larger offices will not only provide more space for staff but make the work atmosphere more inviting and convenient. The staff is fully back in the office; however, some employees have the ability to work remotely. He said a good number of staff are choosing to come into the office. CORE Real Estate Partners represented Harding Shymanski in the transaction. "This is a win-win for Harding Shymanski and the PNC Tower. What a great sign for Downtown Louisville, demonstrating enhanced confidence to create a vibrant and dynamic work environment that will attract the best and brightest talent. Downtown is more than just an office location; our culture, attractions, dining, hotels, conventions, and tourists all depend on a positive experience" Lee Weyland, partner of CORE, said in a release. I previously reported the Madrid Building was purchased by LDG Development in December to use as the developer's new headquarters. After having discussions with LDG about potentially expanding within the Madrid Building, Scott Olinger, president and CEO of Harding Shymanski, said the companies came to the agreement that it would be best to look for new offices. Last week, Silicon Valley-based Inxeption announced its plan to move into PNC Tower. The industrial commerce company will be occupying the 18,000-square-foot 29th floor. |
