Description | Construction time limit is (240) calendar days with liquidated damages of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per day. City of Bridgeport Contract #1 - Lift Station #6 and Force Main Upgrade This project consists of the installation of approximately 750 LF of 12" HDPE DR11 Force Main Pipe, 300 LF of 12" HDPE DR11 Horizontal Directional Drill, New 12' diameter concrete wet well, New 6' diameter concrete valve vault, New control panel structure, New duplex submersible 25 HP sewage pumps and controls w/VFD's, New odor control unit, New 80 KW emergency standby generator, site work, chain link fencing and gates, abandonment and removal of existing LS6, and other miscellaneous items of work. A two-envelope system will be used. Each must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Envelope No. 1 must have the following Information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder, "Bid on City of Bridgeport Contract #1 - Lift Station #6 and Force Main Upgrade", Received by the City of Bridgeport, 515 West Main Street, Bridgeport, WV 26330. Envelope No. 2 labeled "Bid Proposal" shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR-1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 "Bid Proposal", will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 "Bid Proposal" will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. A bidder may not withdraw the Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to City of Bridgeport in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Bidders must comply with the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Copeland AntiKickback Act, and the Contract Works Hours Safety Standards Act. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21-ID-5. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor's License per Section 21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code. Upon receipt for bids, kindly respond with expression of interest by March 17, 2023 to Matthew Fluharty, PE, Principal, and CEC via email at mfluharty@cecinc.com. The City of Bridgeport reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. |
