Description | Construction of new enclosed Batting Cage structure. The bid will need to address a base bid with five (5) individual options. The Base Bid and each option must individually include OH/P: Base Bid: Entire pole barn structure is the responsibility of General Contractor (GC). Any required soil testing/ Geotech testing is responsibility of the GC as noted on drawing A1.0 dated 07-28-23. All materials and fixtures are to be provided by and installed by the GC unless noted otherwise. Exceptions: Township to provide level site including 4" crushed stone beneath the slab. Township to remove and dispose of existing structure in its entirety Township to provide all electrical scope indicated on E-1.0 of the bid documents including all labor and materials. Township to provide all mechanical scope indicated on H-1.0 including all labor and materials. Township to provide all lighting as indicated on E-2.0 including all labor and materials. Option 1 (including OH/P) Provide Base Bid scope plus provide level site including 4" crushed stone beneath the slab. The Bonds or other acceptable surety must be in a form acceptable to The Township of Gloucester and be issued by a surety company on institution authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents. BID SUBMISSION PROCEDURES: Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Contract Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of project and the name and address of the Bidder. The Bid must be delivered to the Owner prior to Bid opening at the above address for submitting Bids. Bidders are required is to submit a certificate from the New Jersey Department of Labor Back 8/10/23, 2:01 PM. Works Contractor Registration Act (P.L. 1999, c.238) Bidder are also required to submit current proof of Business Registration and current proof of Business Registration for all named Subcontractors in accordance with P.L. 2007 c.57. Laurel Springs, NJ 08021 STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS: Bidders are required to comply with applicable statutory requirements set forth in the Contract Documents including the New Jersey Public Contracts Law, NJSA 40A:11-1, the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127(NJAC 17:27) (Affirmative Action) and of P.L. 1963, c. 150 (Prevailing Wage) and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101, et seq.). The Bidder is further notified that he must comply with P.L. 1977,c.33, and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with his bid. REJECTION OF BIDS: The Township of Gloucester reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt and further reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, in whole or in part, as permitted by law. The Township of Gloucester also reserves the right to waive any Bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of The Township of Gloucester and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Contract Documents. AWARD OF CONTRACT: The Award of Contract shall be made subject to the necessary monies to perform the work being provided by The Township of Gloucester in a lawful manner. The Contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary monies to perform the work have been provided by The Township of Gloucester in a lawful manner. The Award shall further be subject to the securing of the necessary State, Federal, and Local Permits governing the work. |
