Description

Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a retail development; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot. The Project involves work related to: general construction, building demolition, site work, electrical work, plumbing work, and similar items. SBE Goal: 10% Construction Drawings Questions Due: May 9, 2022 Addendum of Questions Posted: On or before May 12, 2022 Are faxed Bids acceptable No BID GUARANTY: Each Bidder must MAIL a surety company Bid Bond (see attached form) or a certified cashiers check payable to the order of the Community Development Authority for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the Bidders total Bid Amount in the Bid Form (the Bid Deposit) that will be held until a successful Bidder is notified. Bidders Bid Bond or certified cashiers check must be received by City Finance at the below address on or before May 19, 2022. Parties Notified: May 25, 2022 CDA Board Approval: June 9, 2022 SBE Pre-Bid Meeting: Small Business Enterprise Pre-Bid Meetings are not being held in person. Contractors can schedule one-on-one phone calls with Bilingual Contract Compliance Specialist Juan Pablo Torres Meza, Affirmative Action Division, to count towards good faith efforts. Juan Pablo may be reached at jtorresmeza@cityofmadison.com The Scope of Services as described below and in the "Contract" should be substantially completed by October 15, 2022 (the "Substantial Completion Date") or later with approved extensions. If the Scope of Services are revised during this "Bid Process", then an addendum to the RFB will be posted on or before May 12, 2022 on Demand Star and Vendor Net, and the Substantial Completion Date may be changed and noted therein. Any questions relating to the RFB, the construction drawings, specifications and project manual prepared by Strang, Inc. dated April 1, 2022 (collectively defined as the "Construction Drawings") or Bid Documents are due on or before May 9, 2022. The CDA reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Package proposals, to waive any informalities in the CDs or Bid Process or to cancel in whole or in part this RFB if it is in the best interest of the CDA to do so. If a Bidder is not chosen as the lowest Successful Bidder under this RFB, then your Bid Bond or certified cashiers check will be destroyed by City Finance. The Successful Bidders Bid Bond or certified cashiers check will be destroyed within forty-eight (48) Page 5 of 40 hours following the Successful Bidders execution of the Contract and receipt of the Payment and Performance Bond, as required if the Bid Amount exceeds $100,000
