Description

The City of Tavares, Florida, (City) is requesting Sealed Proposals from qualified firms to provide proposals for the Tavares Public Works Public Works Operations Center Site Preparation . Public Works Operations Center Construction, City of Tavares, located at 920 Captain Haynes Rd, Tavares, Florida, 32778. The City is inviting the submission of proposals from qualified vendors for the Tavares Public Works Compound Site Construction per specifications Any or all questions should be directed in writing to John Rumble, Purchasing Manager, via email to jrumble@tavares.org . 10-14-22 Last day for questions to be received. 10-21 -22 or sooner Last addendum going out to bidders 11-2-22 Evaluation and Recommendation Complete 11-16-22 Staff brings recommendation to Council to enter in contract with successful bidder 12-19-22 City to issue NTP. Budget: $ 1.8 to $ 2.2 million Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Bid Security shall be in the form of (1) Cash; (2) Cashier's Check; (3) Certified Check on a Bank or Trust Company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or (4) a Bid Bond executed by a Corporate Surety licensed under the laws of the State of Florida to execute such bonds. A company check will not be accepted as a form of Bid Security. . A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond in a sum equal to 110 percent of the amount of the Contract awarded will be required at the time of execution of the construction contract. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or parts of proposals, to workshop or negotiate any and all proposals, to waive irregularities and to request new proposals for the required materials or services. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. 1. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for site work including building pad preparation, site improvements, driveways, parking lots, sidewalks, utilities, storm drainage, landscape, and irrigation. This infrastructure will serve the construction of five new buildings on site. 2. Building A - Administration: 8,550 S.F. One story, offices, locker rooms, breakroom, and support spaces. Construction Type IIB with Fully Automatic Fire Sprinkler system. Concrete Tilt Wall with combination curved standing seam metal roof and low slope single ply roof system. 3. Building B-C-D: 28,980 S.F. Total. Construction Type IIB with Fully Automatic Fire Sprinkler system. Concrete Tilt Wall with low slope single ply roof system. a. Building B - Fleet: 9,350 S.F. One story with mezzanine, vehicle bays, storage, workstations, offices, toilet rooms and support spaces b. Building C - Lake Tech Diesel: 12,670 SF. One story with mezzanine, vehicle bays, storage, classrooms, offices, toilet rooms and support spaces. c. Building D - Lake Tech Automotive: 6,960 SF. One Story, vehicle bays, storage, labs, offices, toilet rooms and support spaces. 4. Building E: Operations 10,540 S.F. One story, shops, storage, offices, toilet rooms and support spaces. Construction Type IIB with Fully Automatic Fire Sprinkler system. Concrete Tilt Wall with low slope single ply roof system.
