Description | **As of August 5, 2022 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** In general, the work on this project will consist of the structural and miscellaneous repairs and complete recoating of the existing interior and exterior surfaces, including commercial blast removal of the existing interior and exterior coating system of the existing 500 MG Elevated Steel Hydropillar Water Storage Tank, known as the Stafford Avenue Water Tower, and located at 181 Stafford Avenue, Manahawkin, Ocean County, New Jersey. This project will also include alternate bid work such as the installation of a logo designed by Stafford Township on the Elevated Steel Hydropillar Water Storage Tank. Additional alternate bid work includes the structural and miscellaneous repairs and complete recoating of the existing interior and exterior surfaces, including commercial blast removal of the existing interior and exterior coating system of the existing Steel Backwash Waste Storage Tank. Bid security is required in the amount of not less than ten percent of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00) as set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21. Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents. Required bidder information can be found in the bid documents. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bid must be on the bid form prepared by Remington and Vernick Engineers, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications. Bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of the project and the name and address of the Bidder. Bid Must Be Addressed and Delivered to Nicola Reid, Purchasing Agent, Stafford Township, 260 East Bay Avenue, Purchasing Department - 2nd floor Room 276, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Bids will not be accepted after stated time. Should interested bidders not have the ability to handle electronic download sets, a set may be arranged to be sent overnight by calling 732-286-9220. No Bids Are to Be Picked Up at the Engineers Office or at the Municipality Offices. Payment Must Be Received Prior to Obtaining Said Specifications. No Bids Are to Be Dropped Off at the Engineers Office. The said Contract Documents and Proposal sheets may be examined at the Township of Stafford, Purchasing Department, 260 East Bay Avenue, 2nd Floor Room 276, Manahawkin, New Jersey, 08050. |
