Description

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, signage, traffic control and other incidentals necessary to provide a Slurry Seal application. Slurry Seal shall consist of a mixture of an approved polymer-modified emulsified asphalt, mineral aggregate, water and specified additives, proportioned, mixed and uniformly spread over properly prepared asphalt surfaces. The completed Slurry Seal surfacing shall leave a humongous mat, adhere firmly to the prepared surfaces, and have a skidresistant surface texture throughout its service life. It is expected that contractor winning the award for this project own its Slurry Seal machinery and be proficient in its use. Third party applicators are discouraged from this bidding process.
