Description | Request for proposals for landscape improvements at Mary Sheridan Park This is a request for proposals for landscape improvements at Mary Sheridan Park, 39 York Street in Lambertville, NJ. The improvements are described in the attached landscape master plan: Sheridan Park Master Plan L-1 Revised 6.21. The area in the upper left corner above (south of) the Kalmia Club and to the left (east) of the Jail is excluded from this proposal. Please provide itemized pricing as follows: 1) Bed preparation, installation of plant material, and associated mulch. For each species, include the scientific name, and the number of plants you will install. The following assumptions should be made: o Existing Japanese Barberry shrubs surrounding the fountain must be removed and replaced with a native alternative from the list of suggested plant material, or you may use one to be approved with your proposal. o Existing beds should be enlarged by approximately 6 inches, and beds should be densely planted. o Note that the attached plan includes suggested plant species. Please omit Buxus x 'Green Mountain' from your list of plants. If you recommend any deviations from this list, they should be plants native to this region. Straight species are preferred. 2) New ADA compliant path through park 3) Boulder field under the White Pine in the center of the park, boulders approximately 18'-24" 4) Enlarged brick paths and walkway around existing monument at York/George entrance 5) Low-maintenance fine lawn, Ernst Native/Naturalized Solar Farm Seed Mix or approved equivalent by Ernst Seeds Your proposal must include a warranty of a minimum of 1 year for plant material. Please note all warranties in writing. We will work with the lowest bidder to finalize the list of plants and plans. Depending on cost, we may elect to implement the work in phases. If at all possible, we would like to begin work this fall. If you have any questions, please contact me.
