To have the contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc necessary to remove and replace an existing asphalt roof system and handicap ramp, located at 4590 Hawthorne Road, Indian Head, MD 20640. This project consists ofthe Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc., necessary to remove and replace an existing asphalt roofsystem and handicap ramp, located at the 4590 Hawthorne Road, Indian Head, MD 20640. 2. The project includes, but is not limited to the following: a. Remove and properly dispose of the existing asphalt shingle roof (approximately 1,3000 SF), felt underlayment, flashing, drip edge, etc., down to bare roof sheathing. b. Inspect roof sheathing, and replace any deteriorated wood as directed by the DNR Project Manager using Unit Price #1. c. Remove and replace the boot flashing on 3 plumbing vent pipes. d. Remove and replace the goose-neck roof vent cap. e. Remove and replace flashing associated with chimney. f. Provide and install approximately 1,3000 SF of architectural shingles. New shingles to be installed with new drip edge, ice and water shield, starter shingles, vented ridge caps, etc. g. Remove and replace the existing wooden handicap ramp in-kind. h. Close fireplace opening in the interior of the residence using brick and mortar. Ensure chimney openings on the exterior are waterproof and animal proof. i. Removal and proper disposal of all debris.
