Description

The City of Owensboro is seeking a reputable contractor to provide mowing services for multiple locations throughout the City.The mowing contract may be awarded to multiple contractors submitting the lowest and/or best bid for each location. Bidders may bid on all or any combination of locations. The initial contract shall be from March through mid-October, possibly November 2023 (typically around 32 weeks), depending on weather conditions. Exact start and cutoff date will be determined by City of Owensboro Grounds Manager.With mutual agreement of the vendor and the City of Owensboro, the contract may be renewed for four (4) additional one (1) year periods, for a total of five (5) years, at the current bid price. The contract will auto renew unless successful bidder has requested a price increase 30 days prior to the end of the contract period. The first renewal shall be in March 2024. The City of Owensboro reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids received, to take exception to these bid specifications, or to waive any informalities, to negotiate all terms and conditions, or to cancel or amend in part, or entirety, this bid. The right is also reserved to award bids based on the best interest and/or most advantageous to the City of Owensboro. Every request for such interpretation, clarification, or additional information should be in writing addressed to Kalyn Fox, Purchasing Agent, at City Hall (101 E. 4th Street, Owensboro, KY 42303) or emailed to bids@owensboro.org and to be given consideration must be received by Thursday, January 19, 2023. Any and all such interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the specifications which, if issued, will be uploaded to the City's vendor registry website at https://purchasing.owensboroky.gov/, for all prospective bidders to download. Failure of any bidder to receive any such addendum or interpretation shall not relieve such bidder from any obligation under his/her bid as submitted. All addenda so issued shall become part of the contract documents.
