Liquidated Damages :- $1,750.00 day Scope of Work English Brook Culvert is located on ASP Route 1 nearly 2 miles north of ASP Rte. 3 in the Quaker area of Allegany State Park. This is a reconstruction project consisting of the removal and replacement of the roadway arch culvert over English Brook. This is considered a historic structure by State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and is being replaced in-kind to the greatest extent practicable. The new structure is a similar arch culvert including concrete wingwalls and headwalls to be lined with stone veneer to represent the aesthetics of the existing structure. Roadside kneewalls are to be built from existing stone salvaged from the structure removal. Work includes new guiderail, underdrain, storm drainage improvements, embankment, and full roadway section replacement. The culvert base footers are to be built on steel H-piles. Camp 12 is located approximately 3-4-mile north of the intersection of ASP Route 2 and France Brook Road on the east side of Allegany State Park. This is a new-build of two box culverts to span Red House Brook and a separate swale near the Camp 12 area, which will provide direct access to Camp 12 from ASP Route 2. Both culverts will be four-sided box structures. The floor of each culvert will be buried below existing stream elevations to provide a natural bottom condition to comply with environmental permit guidance. The new structures will include concrete wingwalls and headwalls to be lined with form-liner intended to match aesthetics of the natural stone in the surrounding areas of the Park. Work includes new timber-faced guiderail, embankment, natural roadway resurfacing, and storm drainage improvements. |
