Description | Phase 1.2 HVAC Phase 1.4 Electrical HVAC Construction (.2) Contract: 1. Hydronic heating system 2. Air Handlers, related ductwork, and fire alarm systems 3. Exhaust fans, related ductwork, and plenums. 4. Work is limited to one building at a time 5. Contractor shall have access to the full basement and half of the first floor 6. One wing of the building and half of the center core area shall be occupied during construction 7. The fire alarm system shall be active during construction. The Contractor shall take all precautions to avoid false alarms. 8. Contractor shall coordinate all shut downs of utilities with White Haven site representative (Richard Yohey (570) 443-4118) i.e., electric domestic water, steam, and hydronic heating systems. Contractor shall make request for shut down a minimum of five (5) working days prior to shut down. Exact time, date, and duration of shut down will be as directed by the White Haven site representative. 9. Contractor shall notify White Haven site representative when existing equipment is scheduled to be removed. White Haven maintenance department request removed equipment (i.e. air handlers, cabinet unit heater, etc.) be placed on loading dock for pick-up by the maintenance department. Equipment shall be removed in a manner to be re-installed. 10. Contractor shall remove radiant heat press-fit insulation valves (located in basement corridor) in a manner to allow for re-installation. Contractor shall notify White Haven site representative when valves are removed for pick-up by White Haven maintenance personnel. 11. Contractor shall coordinate with Elevator Service Co. the removal of the man door and security gate as necessary to load and unload materials, equipment, etc. from the elevator. Contractor shall field verify dimension of elevator car to determine maximum size of items that can be placed in the elevator. The posted maximum weight for the elevator is 2,000 lbs. Electrical Construction (.4) Contract: 1. Contractor shall include all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services required to complete the various systems and other such equipment as herein after specified in items 2 through 8, or as indicated on the Drawings 2. Existing electrical equipment being removed shall be properly disposed of. Refer to drawings for additional information. 3. New branch circuits, combination motor starters, and disconnect switches, conduit, wire, etc., for hydronic pumps work. 4. New branch circuits, disconnect switches, wiring, breaker, etc., for bathroom cabinet heaters. 5. New branch circuits, disconnect switches with motor starters, circuit breakers, etc., for heat ventilators as noted on drawings. 6. Fire alarm work for new heat ventilator duct smoke detectors, remote test switches, and additional wiring as required. Mechanical Contractor shall mount sampling tubes in ductwork. Electrical Contractor shall mount duct smoke detector, housing, remote test switches, and wiring as required. 7. Branch circuits, wiring, breakers, etc., for exhaust fan work. 8. Electrical Contractor shall keep fire alarm panel operational while removing and adding new devices. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
