Refuse and Recycling and Site Development

This plan proposes to demolish three existing buildings, several segmental block retaining walls, various utilities, pavement areas and trees. One existing building, the refuse garage (aka Refuse Truck Parking facility), will remain in place. This plan proposes a building addition to the existing refuse garage building remaining in place. The refuse garage will receive improvements to its existing conditions. Included are new pavement, site lighting, signage, landscaping, fencing and parking areas throughout the site. A debris drop-off area for city residents, a segmental block retaining wall and concrete/asphalt debris storage areas in a new storage yard facility. Various new underground utilities including water, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, gas, electric, and fiber to support the existing and proposed building. Stormwater management for the property will be handled by an underground detention facility adjacent to the Berea Road Right of Way. The base bid requires that the Contractor maintain City operations throughout the entire construction. 12920 Berea Road - Cleveland, Ohio 44111. Pricing for Alternate A includes the site being vacated by the City and residents to permit the Contractor total control of the site. The Contractor shall provide the number of calendar days to complete the Work specified in the plans and specifications on the provided form. Bidders can visit the site (12920 Berea Road - Lakewood, Ohio 44107) Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM. Visitors need to check-in at the entrance.
