All written responses shall be addressed in an amendment to this RFB. County Reserves the Right to Group Questions When Providing Answers. The purpose of this project is to repaint the 190' communication tower located at Eastern Ave Microwave site. Eastern Avenue (EAV): 190' Lattice tower. 3 legged free standing. Location: 1320 N Eastern Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90063 1. SSPC-SP1 Solvent Cleaning Removal of all visible oil, grease, soil, drawing and cutting compounds, and other soluble contaminants from steel surfaces with solvent, vapor, cleaning compound, alkali, emulsifying agent, or steam. To be used on areas with Coffee stain rust and approximately 1-2 mils of galvanization remaining. 2. SSPC-SP2 Hand Tool Cleaning Removes all loose mill scale, loose rust, loose paint, and other loose detrimental foreign matter by hand chipping, scraping, sanding, and wire brushing. To be used in areas of amassed rust. 3. SSPC-SP3 Power Tool Cleaning Removes all loose mill scale, loose rust, loose paint, and other loose detrimental foreign matter by power wire brushing, power sanding, power grinding, power tool chipping, and power tool descaling. To be used in areas of amassed rust. |
