Description

The project includes a single story 47,000 square-foot new construction of an advanced manufacturing, engineering technology, and apprenticeship building, consisting of structural steel, bar joists, and membrane roof. Sitework will include all new entrance roads, landscaping, and site lighting. The exterior of the building will be metal panel, masonry, and glazed storefront. Work will commence on or about March 1, 2023 and shall be completed by May 31, 2024. J.H. Findorff & Son Inc. will be the Construction Manager as Advisor. Project Location: 5000 Coye Drive, Stevens Point, Wisconsin, 54481 The Owner became aware of a regulatory matter with the previous bid process. In order to ensure compliance, the project is being rebid. The drawings and specifications have been updated to include previous addendums and subsequent updates and dated November 29, 2022. Each Bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the sum of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The required security must be in the form of a bid bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Wisconsin and named in the current list of "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds" as published in the Federal Register by the Audit Staff Bureau of Accounts, U.S. Treasury Department. The Surety Company must have an AM Best rating of A- or better. Bond will serve as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute the agreement and provide a Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond. Bid Securities of all bidders except the three (3) lowest bidders will be returned within ten (10) days after the bid opening. Bid securities will be returned to remaining bidders after execution of the agreement. Bid securities will be forfeited to the owner as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute and return Agreement and Bonds to owner within ten (10) days from receipt of agreement for signature. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action serves the best interest of the Owner. All Bids shall be identified and clearly marked. Bids will be received for individual trade packages. It is required to use the bid form included in the packet. . No bid may be withdrawn during this period without written consent of the Owner. Submit RFI's as noted in the Invitation created by Mid-State Technical College. Submit Requests for Information (RFI) by 10:00am on December 8, 2022, to the aforementioned individual. Work will commence on or about March 1, 2023 and shall be completed by May 31, 2024.
