Description

Include the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for a complete softwash of the exterior of the facility from the top of wall to ground level. Once all surfaces have dried for a minimum of three (3) consecutive days, work shall include media blast and surface coating of all glazed CMU tile sections of the Community Center’s exterior north, east, west and south elevations, including the column at the main entrance and around each of the fourteen (14) clerestory windows on the east and west sides of the building (see Reference Drawing #7 attached and annotated). The City of Mobile estimates approximately eight hundred and eight linear feet (808 LF) of tile surface will be included as a part of the restoration portion of the work. Approximately six hundred and twelve linear feet (612 LF) of the surfaces are thirty-two inches (32”) in height, or four (4) eight-inch tiles high. One hundred and ninety-six linear feet (196 LF) of the surfaces are eight inches in height, or one (1) eight-inch tile high. Quotes shall include pricing that reflects a minimum of one topcoat with media blast on all exterior glazed CMU surfaces. The Contractor shall use a less than or eqaul to one percent (=1%) active Sodium Hypochlorite solution mixed to the manufacturer’s recommended consistency for the cleaning of the facility. Contractor shall work from bottom to top, avoiding re-deposit of soiling and staining. Should run-off occur, Contractor shall re-clean affected areas. Additionally, The Contractor shall use Adsil Microguard AD1000 in conjunction with Adsil Microguard AD5-050 Mircogrip, as the “basis of design,” for all tile surface restoration work. Substitution products for the tile surfaces to be restored shall be submitted in writing to the Project Manager five (5) calendar days prior to the quote receipt date for consideration of approval. Approved equals shall be sent to all qualified quoters by addendum.`
