All proposals must be made on the Bid ProposalFormprovidedby thePurchasingManager.ABidDeposit, whichcan beprovided separately, in theamount ofFIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000)intheformof a certified or cashiers check, an irrevocable letter of credit, or a certificate of deposit or a bidders bond executed by a corporate surety, admitted by the California Insurance Commissioner to do business in California, payable and acceptable to the City of Fresno; or the Bidder shall have registered with the Purchasing Manager of the City an annual bid bond sufficient to provide coverage in such amount. Copies of Bid Deposits may be submitted electronically, with the exception of a cashiers check, which must be brought to the Purchasing Managers office and labeled accordingly with bid number. The bonds must be approved by the City before the Contractor enters upon performance of the Work. In no event shall the bonds securing materials and labor, and performance respectively, provided during the life of this Contract, total less than 100% of the amount payable by City.
