Description

Bidder must submit a bid guaranty and a performance bond with the bid. The bid guaranty may be in one of several different forms. They may include a certified or cashier's check, letter of credit, cash in the amount of 10%, or a bond. Please list the name, address, and phone number of the local bonding agent along with the home office. If a bid guaranty in the form of a bond is posted, then the bid guaranty and performance bond attached to the specifications as Exhibit 1 is to be used. In the alternative, if a bid guaranty in the form of a letter of credit, cashier's or certified check or cash is posted, then a performance bond in the form attached to the specifications as Exhibit 2 is to be used. BONDS ON STANDARD INSURANCE FORMS, AIA FORMS OR ANY OTHER FORM OTHER THAN THOSE ATTACHED TO THE SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE UNACCEPTABLE. FAILURE TO SUBMIT A PROPER BOND WITH THE BID PACKAGE MAY RESULT IN REJECTION OF THE BID. Attention of the bidder is called to the special requirements which will be included in the contract regarding minimum wages to be paid as per Section 4115.04 of the Revised Code. A payroll transcript will be required to be submitted to the Ashland County Engineer's Office prevailing wage coordinator. Ashland County may reject any or all of the bids on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any unsuccessful bidder against Ashland County. This notice is posted on Ashland County's Internet Web Site and may be accessed.
