Description | For 2023 Concrete Pavement Replacement Project The scope of work for this project involves the removal and replacement of concrete pavement in selected areas of the Storyland Subdivision, Woodfield Subdivision, and other related work as further described in the Project Manual. Questions regarding technical aspects of this project should be directed to: Rich Beran, P.E., Village Engineer, at (618) 466-4319 or rberan@godfreyil.org A pre-bid meeting will not be held. Each Bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, a certified check, or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an approved surety company, made payable to the Village of Godfrey, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the sum total of the bid. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in Bids. By submitting Bid, Bidder agrees that their Bid will not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days except as provided herein, subsequent to the specified time for receipt of Bids and further agrees to the terms and conditions of this invitation and the Project Manual regarding the bidding process. No low Bidder shall have a business expectancy merely because their Bid is the lowest one received: until the contract has been awarded, no business expectancy exists. Bids may be withdrawn solely for demonstrated and verifiable clerical or typographical mistake, but not mistake of judgment. |
