Process and Operational Upgrades at the Pequannock Water Treatment Plant

The Work consists of process and operational improvements at the Pequannock Water Treatment Plant. This work includes, but is not limited to, removal and replacement of filter underdrain system, removal of filter dual media and replacement with granular activated carbon (GAC), installation of new filter troughs, removal and replacement of backwash pumps, demolition of the surface wash system, installation of a new air scour system and blowers, removal and replacement of filter influent, effluent, backwash and drain valves, removal and replacement of filter instrumentation, and cleaning of the clearwells. Electrical and controls upgrades will include, but are not limited to, a new power distribution system, the configuration of a new motor control center, the implementation of a new central control system, and the addition of variable speed drives. Architectural work will include, but is not limited to, remodeling the existing first floor office into the new control room, remodeling the existing control room into new office space and remodeling the kitchen space.
