Description

Construction of geometric and safety improvements at the Conowingo Truck Weigh and Inspection Station (TWIS) which is located south of the Conowingo Dam at the intersection of US 1 (Conowingo Road) and MD 623 (Castleton Road). The goals of this project include: (1) improve station operational efficiency; (2) provide new scale house to replace existing condemned facility; (3) provision for the future upgrade of existing static scale to increase processing rates; and (4) improve parking facilities for out of service and overnight trucks.
