Description

This project provides for the resurfacing of various roads in Princeton. The principal items of work consist of the following: Approximately 60,000 square yards of asphalt milling; 7,000 tons of hot mix asphalt 9.5M64 surface course; 30 units of reset existing storm sewer castings; 20 units of reconstruct existing storm sewer structures; 20 units of bicycle safe grates; 50 units of curb pieces; 500 square yards of concrete sidewalk; 40 units of 24" x 24" cast iron detectable warning surface; 120 units of 24" radial cast iron detectable warning surface; 2,300 square yards of hot mix asphalt sidewalk; 1,100 linear feet of concrete vertical curb; 600 linear feet of belgian block curb; 3,600 linear feet of traffic marking lines; and other related miscellaneous work. The project must be substantially completed in ninety (90) calendar days. The entire project must be completed in one hundred twenty (120) calendar days. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Document shall be submitted to the Princeton Engineering Department in writing before Thursday, March 1, 2023, at 12:00 PM. Requests for postponement of bids will not receive a response. The Department will issue an addendum postponing bids if warranted. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Notice of Addenda shall be provided no later than seven (7) days, Saturdays, Sundays or holidays excepted, prior to the date for acceptance of bids to any person who has submitted a bid or who has received a bid package in writing by certified mail or by certified facsimile transmission. Only questions answered by written Addenda will be binding. Questions received less than ten (10) days, Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays excepted, prior to the scheduled date for the opening of Bids will not be answered. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
