Description

The buildings will be bid as one contract. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal. The Engineer's estimate for the demolition is $50,000. All Contractors and Subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labour in the implementation of their project Compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Hancock County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Wage & Hour Administration. Bids are to be sealed, marked "BID - BUILDING DEMOLITION - 217 & 219 CLINTON COURT & 129 N MAIN STREET" and addressed to the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of Hancock County, Ohio. Mailed bids shall be sent to 300 South Main Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840. Hand delivered bids shall be brought t 514 South Main Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840. The Hancock County Commissioners reserve the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids submitted on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in the accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any successful bidder against Hancock County or the Board of Hancock County Commissioners.
