Description | Park improvements include removals and grading, roadways and parking lots, storm sewer utilities, site lighting, walking paths, site furnishings, playgrounds, installation of site structures, a restroom building, a swimming beach, and landscape work. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft, cashiers check or certified check payable to the order of the Village of Fox Lake, Fox Lake, Illinois, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the bid amount, as a guaranty that the bidder will execute the contract, if it is awarded, in conformity with the bid form. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders Questions: Architect will provide responses at Prebid meeting to bidders questions received up to 2 business days prior to meeting. Submit Questions in writing via email, address to both Heather Faivre, < heather.faivre@site-design.com > and Bradley McCauley,< bcmccauley@site-design.com > a. Subject line of email to read 9313 Bidder Question followed by any additional subject information. A. The contractor shall pay prevailing wages in accordance with Local Ordinance and the Illinois Department of Labor Prevailing Wages for Lake County or McHenry County, whichever is greater. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price. |
