Elevated Tank Riser Pipe Replacement

The Project includes the following Work: Furnish and install fully painted, insulated, and jacketed riser pipe. Removal of existing riser pipe. Alternate bid for replacement of CBI expansion joint. Contracts for work under this bid will obligate the contractor and sub-contractors not to discriminate in employment practices and shall be in compliance with applicable State of Illinois Statutes pertaining to the selection of labor and the prevailing rate of wages. Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders shall register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the Treasurer, Calumet City, Illinois, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid for the Divisions bid shall be submitted with each Bid. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Bids will be held good for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of Bids.
