Description | The city of Yakima is inviting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing professional engineering design and surveying (as needed) services for the following FHWA Highway Safety Improvement Program project: 2023 City Safety - Systemic Pedestrian Safety Improvements; Curb Extensions at 5th Ave. and D St. intersection. Improvements will include installing curb extensions at the intersection of 5th Avenue and D Street to improve pedestrian safety. This will include sidewalks, curbing, crosswalks, installing and adjusting storm drainage, environmental documentation, etc. Surveying of the area has not occurred. A design concept has been developed and this information will be provided. The DBE goal for this project is 0%. Qualified disadvantaged, minority, and women-owned consultants are encouraged to respond. SOQs shall be limited to ten (10) pages and shall include the following information: key personnel, firm experience with small PS&E projects, familiarity with the City of Yakima and/or other similar municipalities, familiarity with WSDOT standards, experience with federally funded projects, and past performance/references. Please submit three (3) copies of the Statement of Qualifications. Statement of Qualifications will be evaluated on a competitive basis using the above criteria. The City will score the received Statement of Qualifications and will not conduct interviews.
