Description

This Sources Sought is for a Water System Improvement Project at the Kolob Canyons Visitor Center at Zion National Park in Utah (National Park Service, Department of Interior), replacing portions of the existing water system. Work consists of demolition and removal of an existing underground 12,000 gallon fiberglass storage tank, well pumping equipment and chlorination equipment, and replacing with a new 50,000-gallon Cast-in-Place concrete water storage tank and associated equipment well pump and equipment, yard piping and associated appurtenances. Work includes construction of bollards, asphalt patching, construction of new water mains and service lines, installation of new tank controls, water treatment piping, electrical conduit and wiring, and chemical feed pump. Site work will include trenching, backfilling, native soil replacement, mulching and seeding (revegetation) of all areas along the path of the new water mainline in order to reduce invasive weeds and preserve the aesthetic of the Visitor Center area.
