Description

**As of May 11, 2023, project was awarded to Office Basics Inc, awarded amount is $429,707.91.** Edelman Fossil Park at Rowan University Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (Ffe) for the New Fossil Park Museum, Located in Sewell, Nj. The Scope of Work Includes, but is Not Limited to: All Furniture Office Partition Glazing Project Coordination and Scheduling With All Project Team Members and Providers Each Proposal Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check, or Bid Bond for 10 Percent (10%) of the Total Amount Bid, but Not in Excess of $20,000, Made Payable to the Gloucester County Improvement Authority. Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish a Bond of a Surety Company, Satisfactory to the Authority, in a Sum Equal to 100% of the Total Contract Price. There Will Not Be a Pre-bid Meeting for This Bid. This Project Shall Be Bid as a Single Bid (Lump Sum All Trades). Prospective Bidders Are Advised That the Project is Subject to a Project Labor Agreement (Pla). The Pla Will Be Binding Upon the Successful Bidder, and Its Subcontractors (as Applicable). A Copy of the Pla is Included in the Project Specifications. All Bidders Are Required to Comply With the Requirements of N.j.s.a. 10:5-31 Et Seq. And N.j.a.c. 17:27 (Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action), the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.j.s.a. 34:11-56.25 Et Seq.), and Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.s.c. 12101 Et. Seq.). All Bidders Are Further Notified That They Must Comply With N.j.s.a. 52:25-24.2 and Submit a Disclosure Statement Listing Interest Holders With the Bid. In Addition, All Bidders Must Comply the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.j.s.a. 34:11-56.48 Et Seq., and the Contractor and All Subcontractors Must Be Registered in Accordance With the Act . The Owner Reserves the Right, in Accordance With Applicable Laws, to Reject Any or All Bids, to Waive Immaterial Informalities, Deviations, or Omissions in Any Bid or All Bids, and to Accept Such Bids and Make Such Awards as May Be in Accordance With Applicable Law. Furthermore, as Allowed by Applicable Law, the Owner May Request Written Clarification of Any Aspect of the Proposal Where, in the Owner's Opinion, Ambiguities Exist. No Bidder May Withdraw Its Bid for a Period of Sixty (60) Days After the Actual Date of the Opening of the Bids, Except as Provided for Under N.j.s.a. 40a:11-23.3. The design indicated in the attached bid package is at 100% Construction Documentation. It is the Contractor's responsibility to thoroughly review the Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment packages, artifact database and other schedules, appendices and submittals in an effort to fully understand the design intent, work provided by others and complete installation requirements. Notify the Owner if further clarification is requested. If no notification is given, it is assumed the contractor understands these requirements and assumes full responsibility for providing environments, FFE produced within these specifications and guidelines. This may include additional steps or processes related to submittals, approvals, verification of field dimensions and other special conditions. Approval lines should be included on shop drawings and other submittals for key Owneroffices. B. Project is the fabrication and installation of FFE and includes coordination with the general contractor, and space preparation contractor. 1. Field measure all spaces and existing conditions and verify final number and types of components with the Owner prior to producing shop drawings, prototyping or fabrication. 2. Note: See and review all project appendices. C. Work Included: Without limitation, the Project requires all Work necessary for the proper performance and completion of the entire wayfinding signage: professional services to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, professional design services, artistic talent and expertise and all other manner of things necessary to design, provide, fabricate, manufacture and assemble, deliver and install the Work at the Project location, in a complete and properly artistic, usable and workmanlike manner including all goods, materials, and finishes described in the Bid Documents. D. Every effort has been made to indicate all work necessary to complete the project as identified. All bidders shall carefully examine the premises and available documents during the bid period and satisfy themselves as to the extent, nature, and location of the work, general and local conditions; particularly those bearing on transportation, disposal, handling and storage of materials, availability of labor, water, electric power, access routes, uncertainties of the weather, type of equipment and facilities needed for the successful execution of the Work. E. Assignment of Other Items: The FFE Contractor is responsible for coordination and integration of the following items into the completed Project. These items are: 1. All furniture, Fixtures and Equipment. F. Installation Coordination includes coordination with the Owner, the Exhibit Contractor, General Contractor, Space Preparation Contractor, AV contractor, facility manager, insurance agents and complete compliance with the Owner or facility manager's requirements. Coordinate scheduling, sequencing, and all other interface in a timely and thorough manner. 1. The Contractor shall identify to the Owner as soon as possible, but no less than two working days in advance, any occupied areas that the Contractor must access that are located outside the limits of the project site. The Contractor shall identify in writing: a. Restricted areas to be accessed. b. Specific reason for needing access. c. Nature of the work to be performed. d. Date(s) and hours needed to complete construction workactivity. G. It is the intention of the Specifications and Drawings to call for finished work, tested, and ready for operation. 1. Any apparatus, material or Work described in either the Drawings or the Specifications and any incidental accessories necessary to make the Work complete in all respects and ready for operation (even though not particularly specified) shall be furnished, delivered, and installed by the Contractor without additional expense to theOwner. 2. Minor details not usually shown or specified but necessary for proper installation and operation are included in the Work as if specified herein or shown on theDrawings. H. Warranties and Guarantees: The Contractor shall warrant that the work performed under this contract conforms to the contract requirements and is free of any defect in equipment, materials, design furnished, or workmanship performed by the Contractor or any subcontractor or supplier at any tier. Unless otherwise stated in the technical sections of the Specifications, the warranty of the Work shall continue for a period of one (1) year from the date of Final Completion status. If the Owner takes partial occupancy before Final Completion, then the warranty for that portion shall be in effect for a period of one (1) year beginning on the date of Substantial Completion for that portion of the Work. These Warranties are in addition to and concurrent with, warranties provided by manufacturers.
