Description | As of July 19, 2023 the project is awarded to Flower City Monitor Services, awarded amount is $14,037.90. The Asbestos Abatement Project consists of the removal and disposal of asbestos containing ceiling joint compound from stairway 3 and Moon 238-2 within 620 Westfall Road, Rochester, New York 14620. The Asbestos Abatement Contractor shall provide and include in his bid price the services of an independent laboratory to analyze samples obtained from the monitoring for airborne asbestos levels on personnel during abatement activities as required by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The contract time for the asbestos abatement work shall be determined by the Owner. The Contractor shall be responsible for any additional expenses incurred if the contract length is exceeded. The Contractor shall bear all expenses including subcontractor and Air Monitoring expenses in the event of a stop work order. The affected Contract shall not resume until authorized by the Owner or the Owner's Representative. The Owner is responsible for securing adequate electrical and utility services for the Abatement Contractor and the Air Monitoring Contractor The Contractor shall designate a full time Supervisor who meets the requirements of the "Competent Person" as defined by OSHA 1926.1101. This person shall have completed the New York State Department of Labor certification course and have a minimum of one year on the-job training. Submit copies of all manifests, bills of lading, and landfill receipts to the Owner at completion of work. Copies are to be made a part of the submitted Contractor's log. The Asbestos Abatement Contractor shall submit to the Owner prior to the commencement of the project The Contractor shall maintain within the decontamination unit a daily log documenting the dates and time but not limited to the following items: 1. Visitations (authorized and unauthorized) 2. Personnel, by name, entering and leaving the work area 3. Special or unusual events, i.e. barrier breaching, equipment failures 4. Certifications of all personnel 5. Manometer readings. Contractors will receive a response within 2 business days after the deadline for submitting questions.
