Additional requirements information is provided in the solicitation, specifications, supporting documents, and other pertinent attachments. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000 for base line item. Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 for base line item + option A line item. TYPE OF CONTRACT: A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Bayfield County, WI will apply. SET-ASIDE: This project is set aside 100% for Total Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: An organized site visit has been scheduled for this solicitation - please see page 39 (52.236-27 Site Visit) below for more information. Specifications/Drawings Project work consists of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for the removal and replacement of existing decking, joists, skirt boards and deteriorated crib members as delineated on the drawings, removal and reinstallation of existing cleats, and placement of scour stone. Option A is in addition to the base contract and includes additional timber removal and replacement and installation of steel ice plates and solid timber backing on four side of the cribs per the schedules indicated on the drawings. Additional requirements information is provided in the solicitation, specifications, supporting documents and other pertinent attachments. "Specifications and other supporting documents are attached and incorporated herein. Refer to SECTION J." SECTION D - Packaging and Marking No clauses included SECTION E - Inspection and Acceptance 52.246-12 -- Inspection of Construction. Inspection of Construction (Aug 1996) (a) Definition. "Work" includes, but is not limited to, materials, workmanship, and manufacture and fabrication of components. (b) The Contractor shall maintain an adequate inspection system and perform such inspections as will ensure that the work performed under the contract conforms to contract requirements. The Contractor shall maintain complete inspection records and make them available to the Government. All work shall be conducted under the general direction of the Contracting Officer and is subject to Government inspection and test at all places and at all reasonable times before acceptance to ensure strict compliance with the terms of the contract. Commencement, Prosecution, and Completion or Work (Apr 1984) The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within 10 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 365 calendar day after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. |
