This project is to cut slash lines for prescribed burning and to sanitize aspen stands by hand thinning and piling encroaching conifer on approximately 109.6 acres around New Canyon Reservoir to restore declining aspen stands within the Willow Fuels Project on the Sanpete Ranger District of the Manti La Sal National Forest. Location and Description: The New Canyon project is located approximately 2 air miles east of Ephraim, UT in Sanpete County and on the Sanpete Ranger District of the Manti-La Sal National Forest.
