Description | The complete work is for the construction of the 2.0 MG Water Tank Pipeline which includes 5.6 miles of 12-inch PVC waterline, fittings, valves and hydrants. Work also includes jack and bore under Monument Creek crossing, jack and bore under a railroad crossing, and ramming/hammer under Crystal Creek crossing. Work includes grading and erosion control, traffic control, potholing, testing and disinfection of the waterline, asphalt mill and overlay, landscape restoration, and all civil, structural, and mechanical work required therein. Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified cashier s check or a corporate bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the Town of Monument in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount bid. The Successful BIDDER will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount not less than 100% of the contract price. The envelope enclosing the bid shall be sealed and addressed to the Town of Monument and delivered or mailed to 645 Beacon Lite Rd, Monument, CO 80132. The envelope shall be plainly marked in the upper left-hand corner with the name and address of the bidder and shall bear the words Bid for, followed by the Project title per the Contract Documents and the date and hour of opening of bids. The certified or cashier s check, money order, or bidder s bond shall be enclosed in the same envelope with the bid. Refer to Article 13 in Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders for additional submittal requirements. The attention of Bidders is directed to the applicable federal and state requirements regarding conditions of employment to be observed. All bidders are required to comply with Executive Order No. 11246 regarding equal employment opportunities. All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed to the ENGINEER for the project, and all questions shall be in writing. It shall be understood, however, that no interpretations of the manufacturer s drawings will be made by telephone. For or equal items to be considered for evaluation, Contractor must submit information in compliance with Article 10 in Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders. The last day to submit clarifications or questions will be January 17, 2022. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids, if in the best interest of the OWNER. |
