Description

Project Location: Latitude: 38 35 47 N Longitude: 106 31 49 W The project consists of the removal and replacement of all plumbing and valves in the Pitkin Hatchery Hatch House as shown in the following specifications and drawings. Refer all bidding questions regarding this project in writing by Tuesday July 19th to Thomas Roberts, Design Engineer thomas.b.roberts@state.co.us. Questions are due by 5:00pm. BID AWARD Award will be made with reasonable promptness to the low responsive and responsible bidder whose bid meets the requirements and criteria set forth in the Bid. These criteria will include, but not be limited to the lowest TOTAL BASE BID, corrected if necessary for errors in price extension and/or addition. The TOTAL BASE BID will be used for comparing bid only and may not equal the final invoice. The quantities listed on the bid schedule may vary from those actually installed. Quantities may be adjusted to meet the project budget. The bidder proposes that the Instruction to Bidders, Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, General Conditions for Capital Construction , Plans and Specifications, shall form and be part of the Purchase Order/Contract Agreement to be signed by the bidder if this Proposal is accepted, and if the amount of the Contract exceeds $150,000, the bidder will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in a form acceptable to the Director, in a penal sum equal to 100% of the estimated Contract price with Surety or Sureties satisfactory to the Director, to guarantee the completion of the work and also to guarantee that all material and labor on this work, or incidental to the completion of this work, will be fully paid for by the Contractor or his Surety. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs). SDVOSBs, who are incorporated or organized in Colorado or maintain a place of business or have an office in Colorado and who are officially registered and verified as a SDVOSB by the Center for Veteran Enterprise within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. (www.vip.vetbiz.gov), may receive a 5% preference on their bid. This preference applies only to the price, and the SDVOSBs must still meet all other qualifications required in the bid. SDVOSBs claiming this preference shall submit documentation of SDVOSB certification Issued through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in their response to the solicitation. Bid submissions without this documentation will not be given a preference.
