Description | The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of renovations at an existing building. B. The Work generally includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following major elements: 1. Removal of building materials and components, including selected existing fire protection, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. 2. Offsite disposal of all removed materials. 3. Removal of existing sectional overhead door and associated frame and infill with new masonry cavity wall to match existing and window. 4. Removal of existing masonry partition walls, salvaging of existing brick, and construction of new for reconfigured space. 5. Removal of existing lockers where indicated on Drawings and provision and installation of new, including painting of those to remain. 6. Removal and replacement of existing cabinetry, casework, and countertops, doors, frames, and hardware, and toilet partitions and accessories. 7. Removal and replacement of existing ceilings and flooring, where indicated on Drawings. 8. Provision and installation of new concrete slab infill. 9. Fire Protection: a. Adjustment of sprinkler locations in areas of renovation to comply with new layouts. b. Extension of sprinkler piping to reach new locations. c. Removal and replacement of existing sprinkler heads where ceilings is removed. 10. Plumbing: a. Removal and replacement of existing plumbing fixtures with new, in new locations, connecting to existing domestic water, sanitary, and vent mains. b. Removal and replacement of existing kitchen sink. 11. Mechanical: a. Removal of existing heat pumps and replacement with new larger capacity one. b. Removal and replacement of existing roof mounted exhaust fan. c. Provision and installation of new heat pump for new office space. Electrical: Removal and replacement of existing lighting with new LED fixtures within renovated areas. b. Provision and installation of new power and data outlets and ceiling speaker, including relocation of existing. c. Provision and installation of new data cable from data racks to new outlets. d. Provision and installation of power circuits to new HVAC equipment. |
