NW 27 Avenue Waste Collection Transmission System Expansion and Water Distribution System Improvements

The installation of approximately 7,984 linear feet (LF) of a new Gravity Sewer system (based on approximately 3,133 LF of 8-inch Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) gravity sewer mains and fittings, 160 LF of 8-inch Ductile Iron (DI) gravity sewer mains and fittings, 2,632 LF of 10-inch PVC gravity sewer mains and fittings, 306 LF of 12-inch PVC gravity sewer mains and fittings and 1,753 LF of 16-inch PVC gravity sewer mains and fittings) along with installation of 59 sewer lateral connections (Approximately 1,987 LF of 6-inch PVC sewer lateral mains and fittings and 38 LF of 6-inch DI lateral mains and fittings) and 26 manhole structures along NW 27th Avenue, between NW 107th Street and NW 123rd Street, and including the following adjoining streets: NW 123rd Street, NW 119th Street, NW 118th Street, NW 115th Street, and W Golf Drive. The installation along NW 27th Avenue and NW 119th Avenue falls within the Florida Department of Transportation's (FOOT) Right-of-Way, requiring coordination with FOOT to obtain the appropriate permits for construction. The work includes but is not limited to furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the installation of the gravity sewer mains, sanitary laterals and connections thereof, including the installation of new sanitary manhole structures separated no more than 400 feet apart as shown in the plans; relocating two (2) existing 15-inch concrete storm drainage pipes and coordination with the Department for the relocation of one (1) 12-inch ductile iron water main in conflict with the proposed sanitary sewer alignment as shown in the contract documents (the Department to perform water main relocation work); providing protective measures due to petroleum contamination for approximately 100 LF along NW 27th Avenue as specified in the contract documents including: providing ductile iron pipe (DIP) in lieu of PVC pipe with protective polyethylene encasement, Viton gaskets, and trench liner (see Appendix K for the Department's Environmental Due Diligence Review for additional information); and coring an existing manhole located at the intersection of W Golf Drive and NW 115th Street to accept a 16-inch PVC gravity sewer in accordance with WASD Detail SS 6.2. Work includes, as well, cleaning and testing of the proposed gravity sewer lines, providing, and implementing Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans, providing off-duty police for traffic control as per the requirements of the Department or governing authorities, temporary and permanent pavement restoration, full width milling, and asphalt overlay of existing roadways as shown in the contract documents and replacing pavement markings.
