Description

Bids to improve the existing gravel road (approx. 500LF long x 20LF wide) located at Washington Court in York, SC. The work shall consist of 1. Prepare the existing gravel road bed by grading and scarifying the top three (3) inches of existing Washington Court beginning at Washington Street to the end of Washington Court. 2. Provide 6-inches of approximately 300 tons of SCDOT approved graded aggregate base course, GABC, to the prepared Washington Court roadbed. Provide GABC weight tickets to the City’s Public Works Superintendent. 3. Thoroughly compact GABC with a vibratory compactor and pneumatic roller. Ensure the finished surface graded aggregate base course is smooth, and is graded properly to drain, and proof roll the new compacted aggregate base course. 4. Grade the storm water ditches on both sides of the road, and provide seeding and matting as necessary. 5. Replace the existing 40 LF of 18” diameter storm drain pipe with new 40 LF of 18” Class 3 RCP. 6. Replace the existing three driveway 15” diameter drain pipes along Washington Street with three new 15” RCP, 24 LF at each driveway (72 LF total).
