Combs Replace Skylight

1. Replace sloped glazing on both sides of atrium skylight and on top row of curtainwall system on southwest and northeast sides. Provide all new gaskets, setting blocks, seals, etc.. New glazing to be 1" insulated low-e glazing (PPG 'Solarban(R) 60 (3) Solexia' , or equivalent.) Field verify all glazing panel sizes prior to fabrication. 2. Demo existing ceiling fan and all associated wiring back to source (assumed to be circuits 9/11, panel 'v', located in 3rd floor north corridor). Install blank cover plate on box. (note: speed controller for fans is assumed to be located in janitor closet 108). Anyone wishing to discuss specific items is requested to submit the items in writing to Capital Construction Procurement, no later than 7/13/2023. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder The University of Kentucky, Construction Procurement Section, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the University may be served Responses to Written Questions received no later than 7/13/2023 will be provided in an addendum issued on or about 7/20/2023. The time for substantial completion for all phases shall be Thirty (30) consecutive calendar days and Final Completion shall be Fifteen (15) consecutive calendar days thereafter.
