Bass Hall Kitchen Hood Suppression System Replacement

Provide all material, freight/transportation, selective demolition, equipment, labor and fabrication necessary for a complete and operational replacement Kitchen Hood Suppression System for Bass Hall that complies with the following: 1. Provide selective demolition as necessary 2. Contractor is responsible for proper disposal of all demolition and waste materials. 3. Contractor is to provide a detailed submittal of the suppression system including product data; listing information; calcualtions signed and sealed by a Virginia registered professional engineer including agent volume; and shop drawings including, but not limted to, nozzle placement, pipe sizing and lawout, wiring diagrams, and operating sequence. Upon review and approval of the submittal, the A/E will sign and seal the submittal with a statement that the proposed system meets the contract document requirements and forward the submittal to DEB and the State Fire Marshal for review and approval. Work may not begin until the submittal has been approved by all parties. (While the review time cannot be guaranteed, a single review is expected to take 6 weeks from submission to return to the contractor.) 4. Contractor shall test the suppression system in accordance with VUSBC, NFPA 17A, and the manufacturer’s written instructions. The State Fire Marshal will observe the installed fire suppression system and witness the performance testes. Final acceptance is contingent upon acceptance by the State Fire Marshal. 5. Provide a written one year warranty from date of acceptance of the entire installation
