Description | I-5 Everett, East on US2 to N. Kelsey Street. Turn right and continue through light at West Main and N. Kelsey Street. Road becomes South Kelsey Street. At intersection of Powell Street and S. Kelsey Street turn left. Project limits are from South Kelsey Street on Powell Street to South Sams Street. Project Category Code: Utility Street Construction and Excavation, Street/Roadway Reconstruction Description: This Contract provides for the re-alignment and reconstruction of the roadway and limited utility infrastructure replacement at Powell Street between the intersections of Kelsey Street and South Sams Street. The project will remove and replace the existing roadway section; replace of approximately 25 LF of 8-inch, 495 LF of 6-inch, and 24 LF of 4-inch asphalt cement (AC) water main with approximately 520 LF of 8-inch and 20 LF of 6-inch ductile iron (DI) water main, including associated appurtenances; replacement of approximately 82 LF of existing presumed clay pipe with 8-inch PVC pipe including a mainline cleanout, connection of existing services, and installation of two new 6-inch PVC side sewer laterals for future connection (by others); and install approximately 300 LF of 12-inch PVC/HDPE storm drain pipe and new precast concrete catch basins. The anticipated work includes removal and replacement of roadway pavement, placement of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA Cl. 1/2 in. PG 58H-22), pavement milling/planing and overlay, construction of ADA ramps, pavement markings, utility adjustments, temporary traffic control, property restoration, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. All Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished in the Contract Provisions, and each must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond (with authorized surety company as surety) made payable to the City of Monroe in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid including sales tax, and all listed additives and alternates, if any. Cash will not be accepted. A complete paper set of Bid Documents is also available for inspection at Monroe City Hall. |
