North Street PCC Overlay

The extent of the work consists of approximately 5400 feet of 26-foot-wide concrete overlay of North Street, including granular shoulders and minor ditch grading within the City of Jesup and Buchanan County. The bidder's security shall be in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount including all add alternates and shall be the Jurisdiction's bidder's bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the Jurisdiction. No other type of bid security will be accepted. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a construction performance, payment, and maintenance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Said bonds to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and the maintenance of said improvements in good repair from the time of acceptance of the improvements by the City for not less than two (2) years. Contractor shall fully complete in 60 working days with a late start date of July 31, 2023. Liquidated Damages in the amount of $600.00 per Working Day will be assessed for each Working Day that any work shall remain uncompleted beyond the number of Working Days allowed.
