Description

Construction Services for Jekyll Island Public Safety Complex A. Project Overview The new Public Safety Complex will house GSP and JI Fire/EMS operations 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and offer a new central location to dispatch requests for service. The complex will also contain a small Emergency Operations Center (EOC) that can function as a satellite EOC for the island and the county. A common kitchen and day room area will link the office and living quarters of the GSP wing and the Fire/EMS wing. Offices and living quarters in both wings will be secured individually. B. Work of Others a. Work of JIA o JIA will be responsible for all selective tree removal. o JIA will supply building pad to +/- 6" of proper elevation. o JIA will self-perform all utilities within 5 feet of building footprint. o JIA will self-perform construction of wet-enhanced swale on west side of property. o JIA will self-perform all landscaping excluding retaining walls, steps and walks. o JIA will supply all furnishings, such as appliances and furniture. b. Work of other contractors o Contractor and subcontractors will construct facility per all plans and specifications as provided by Jericho Design Group dated 8-10-2022. o Contractor will accept owner provided building pad, perform appropriate soil testing if desired, and make any adjustments necessary to meet construction specifications. o Contractor will install all sidewalks, covered and uncovered parking lots, wheel stops, markings, and appropriate signage per plans. o Contractor will install all storm drainage other than wet- enhanced swale on the west end of the property.
