Logan Asbestos and Lead-Base Paint Survey

This work includes identification of asbestos containing material (ACM), lead based paint (and/or stains) and other hazardous waste, the locations of the materials, estimated quantities and recommendations for abatement of asbestos containing material and other hazardous materials. This project is located at two sites in Utah. The first site is at the Logan Forestry Sciences Laboratory at 860 North 1200 East, Logan, Utah. The three buildings to be surveyed are the Main Laboratory Building with approximately 11,500 GSF, with a partial basement and main floor, the Headhouse with approximately 5,000 GSF on one floor, and the Quonset Hut with approximately 400 GSF that is one level. The contractor will conduct asbestos and lead-based paint inspections on the structure (and if necessary the surrounding soils). Additionally, any other potential hazardous material, as defined by the Environmental Protection Agency and/or the State of Utah, shall be identified. The reason for conducting the tests is to ensure all local, state and federal regulations related to hazardous waste are complied with during the upcoming renovation or work of the buildings.
