1313 Main Street Standby Generator Project

The project includes the installation of a new onsite 350 KW natural gas generator on level 1 of the adjacent Green Street parking garage with bollard protection. To switch to backup power, an 800A open transition, automatic transfer switch (ATS) is to be installed in the first-floor mechanical room. The installation of the ATS will require modifications to the electrical system and equipment inside the mechanical room. The generator will require natural gas service to be established by CenterPoint from the SW corner of Fannin at Clay Street. Contractor is to install 2” HDPE Natural Gas Line from new gas meter to standby generator. Existing trees are to be protected and sidewalk finishes to be restored to existing condition or better by Contractor. Contractor to route conduit and establish electrical connection between generator and existing first floor mechanical room.
