Description | This project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. New, 2 story office building w/ support spaces, a computer training room anda large meeting room. once the new building is completed, the existing building will be demolished, and new parking will be completed. All contractors and sub-contractors will be required to register with The System for Award Management (SAM) at SAM.gov. The work includes Structural Demolition, Site Preparation and Improvements, General Construction, Mechanical Work, Plumbing Work and Electrical Work, all to be let under one prime contract. A cashier's check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid submitted must accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as may be required. If a Bid Bond is provided, the Bond must be signed by an authorized agent of the Bonding Company and the agent's power of attorney must be submitted with the Bid Bond. Bidders, sub-bidders, material suppliers and other interested parties are encouraged to obtain complete sets of Bid Documents. Complete sets of Bid Documents should always be used in preparing bids. Neither the Owner nor Architect assumes responsibility for errors in bidding or misinterpretations of Bid Documents resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bid Documents. The documents obtained through the Architect are considered the official version and take precedence if any discrepancies occur. The use of incomplete or inaccurate Bid Documents does not relieve the bidder of the obligation to perform all work related to his bid as detailed in a complete set of Bid Documents. Davis-Bacon Wage Rates and other federal regulations will apply to this project. All bidders shall conform to the requirements of Arkansas Code Annotated 17-25-101, Arkansas State Licensing Law for Contractors. The Owner reserves the right to waive any formalities in, or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the date of the opening thereof. WBE (6.9%) |
