Description | The purpose of this Invitation for Bid for construction services (this "Solicitation") is to request bids for a new lift station entrance driveway located at 7703 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL. Reconstruction of the existing driveway will include an improved connection to Blanding Boulevard with associated improvements to abutting driveways. The contract will include a new asphalt driveway approximately 20 feet wide and extends approximately 1,100 linear feet, curbs and gutters, pond and required drainage and stormwater improvements as needed to provide access to lift station. Construction shall meet all the requirements of JEA Standards, state and local building codes (the "Work"). Construction is expected to take 150 days from start to finish. Construction must start by June 1, 2023 and must be 100% completed by October 31, 2023. All questions must be submitted in writing to the JEA Buyer listed below at least five business days prior to the opening date. Questions received within five business days prior to the opening date will not be answered. JEA will accept any questions regarding the submission of Responses into the Zycus e-Sourcing system up to the Response Due Date and Time. Submitting an inquiry to the eForum section will send a communication to the buyer. Comments and queries are not Addenda to the Solicitation. Only Addenda issued and attached to the Solicitation under "Buyers Attachments" will be considered to be a formally approved change or clarification. Once the Bidder is awarded the Contract and upon receipt of the Contract Documents, the Bidder shall furnish a Payment and Performance Bond, or alternate form of security, in the amount indicated on the Bid Form, made out to JEA in forms and formats approved and provided by JEA, as security for the faithful performance of the Work or Services. No modifications to the JEA bond forms are allowed. A fully executed Payment and Performance Bond must be recorded with the Clerk of Duval County Court and delivered to JEA before the JEA Purchase Order will be issued. |
